Ralf Scherer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Hönig having to interfere. If Ralf Lade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Holzkopf's goalkeeper Luis Hönig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralf Scherer hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Luis Hönig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Scherer in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rottenbauer's zone, Kristian Kock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Knappe came out of the goal and Kristian Kock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erwin Knappe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justin Sanger's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Rottenbauer got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Kathan. In the 30th minute Ralf Scherer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Hönig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Hönig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Scherer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lennert Scheil hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Luis Hönig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Scherer in the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Justin Sanger managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Holzkopf's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Sanger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Knappe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kristian Kock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Knappe having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Konstantin Otten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Hönig having to interfere. Justin Sanger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Holzkopf's Justin Sanger got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Ralf Lade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Hönig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Rottenbauer's Ralf Scherer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Hönig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ralf Scherer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rottenbauer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Scherer couldn't finish the play. Oliver Wollny kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Erwin Knappe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Kalisch, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to FC Holzkopf getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tassilo Goldsche hit a great ball. Jaro Balko's late challenge caught a Rottenbauer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaro Balko helped the player get up and apologised. Jaro Balko kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match.
