In the 14thth minute of the game Dominik Kerbsties who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burscheid's Per Osthoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Burscheid getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Marco Mühlstein hit a great ball. Miroslav Demmel hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Dominik Kerbsties's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per Osthoff was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Enak Prott sped through Burscheid's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per Osthoff. After the first half Heusweiler were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nikolaus Kollar made the kick off in the second half. Georg Ulrich Kaemmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Klauß in the 53rd minute of the match. Per Osthoff was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Nikolaus Kollar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nikolaus Kollar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After 57 minutes, Ayman Renkewitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burscheid and the Heusweiler players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute Marco Mühlstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Ulrich Kaemmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Mühlstein in the 83rd minute of play forced Heusweiler's goalkeeper Georg Ulrich Kaemmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georg Ulrich Kaemmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Klauß in the 86th minute of the match. Dominik Kerbsties sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Per Osthoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolaus Kollar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burscheid were furious when Nuran Demitter was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 93rd minute, one of Burscheid:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Burscheid. The Burscheid supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Heusweiler's performance. The match ended with a win for Heusweiler.
