Dieter Abelmann came out of the goal and Peter Kürten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Ellinghaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Abelmann having to interfere. Stanislaw Möst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gennaro Wiesemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gittelde FSV booed when Hahn Fußballverein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Holzmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dieter Abelmann made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Christopher Ellinghaus sent off a good shot on target. Gennaro Wiesemann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislaw Möst in the 25th minute of the match. Dieter Abelmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Ellinghaus in the 35th minute. Dieter Abelmann didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Kürten to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Gittelde FSV got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Eller. After 60 minutes, Stanislaw Möst mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hahn Fußballverein and the Gittelde FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stanislaw Möst kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Peter Kürten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Ellinghaus in the 66th minute of play forced Hahn Fußballverein's goalkeeper Dieter Abelmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dieter Abelmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Ellinghaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gittelde FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Ellinghaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Peter Kürten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hahn Fußballverein getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Xaver Büchner hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
