With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduard Gönner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uli Walcher in the 25th minute of play forced Blauenstein FC's goalkeeper Eduard Gönner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Rob Bornscheuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Mächtel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Gerhard Martin Gödicke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
