Thanks to some nice moves Linus Böwering could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Marco Zukrigl however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linus Böwering got free with Marco Zukrigl in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the game, Baptist Klee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Halberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BSC Young Boys the free kick. After 8 minutes, Linus Böwering mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BSC Young Boys and the SC Halberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Linus Böwering kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, SC Halberg's goalkeeper Marco Zukrigl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Meik Zahn. SC Halberg's Baptist Klee got his second yellow card of the match in the 15th minute. The referee ordered Baptist Klee off the ground. After 16 played minutes SC Halberg got a freekick which was hit by Baptist Klee. A collision led to SC Halberg getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lutz Schnell hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, SC Halberg's goal looked a bit too open when Alois Wirtz came free, but Marco Zukrigl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Halberg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerrit Böhm was slow to take the kick. During this time BSC Young Boys's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alois Wirtz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Halberg's Marco Zukrigl did a great save. When Joseph Olbers fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Halberg's protests and gave Joseph Olbers a yellow card for diving instead. Joseph Olbers kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Alois Wirtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Marco Zukrigl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Halberg's Marco Zukrigl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save SC Halberg from getting a goal against them. Calvin Janssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Zukrigl having to interfere. Marco Zukrigl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alois Wirtz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maik Dutzmann made a kick off. The supporters of SC Halberg booed when BSC Young Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etienne Behnisch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eberhard Fritzenwanker was a little too slow when Maik Dutzmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-1. Alois Wirtz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Zukrigl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Alois Wirtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Marco Zukrigl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Stadler might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eberhard Fritzenwanker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hubert Stadler ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Linus Böwering managed to get in a good position for a shot. BSC Young Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Böwering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Zukrigl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When BSC Young Boys's Linus Böwering in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marco Zukrigl came out of the goal and Linus Böwering tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maik Dutzmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Linus Böwering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Halberg's Joseph Olbers got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Joseph Olbers off the ground. Joseph Olbers kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Böwering in the 90th minute of play forced SC Halberg's goalkeeper Marco Zukrigl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Meik Zahn fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BSC Young Boys's protests and gave Meik Zahn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Halberg booed when BSC Young Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meik Zahn didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Linus Böwering came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the BSC Young Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Linus Böwering couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Halberg's zone, Alois Wirtz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Zukrigl came out of the goal and Alois Wirtz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Halberg succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though BSC Young Boys had controlled the match.
