The audience was convinced that Christian Gutmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Zukrigl was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 10th match minute, SC Halberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maik Dutzmann to maneuver through the defense. Baptist Klee kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Marco Zukrigl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Gutmann's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Gutmann in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Zukrigl saved SC Halberg from getting behind. A hard shot 26 in the game by Christian Gutmann from a close distance when the talented Marco Zukrigl managed to make a qualified save. SC Halberg's players were relieved. In the 29th minute Frank Binninger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Zukrigl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Mokros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Halberg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Christian Gutmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Zukrigl was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Christian Gutmann had several of the SC Halberg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marco Zukrigl as he didn't even see the shot coming. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Gutmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Gutmann in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Zukrigl saved SC Halberg from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SC Halberg's zone, Frank Binninger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Zukrigl came out of the goal and Frank Binninger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Zukrigl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrus Bechstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Udo Pitterling suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gideon Ankleider's late challenge caught a Berlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gideon Ankleider helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes SC Halberg got a freekick which was hit by Gideon Ankleider. Christian Gutmann struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Marco Zukrigl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berlin. After a rather tough play, Berlin's Arne Pitz got a free kick in the 78th minute. Christian Gutmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Zukrigl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Gutmann's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Berlin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
