Rudi Uedickoven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Leutheusser having to interfere. The supporters of Schürensöhlen booed when Govelin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Schwarzbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Röwekamp in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charly Kösters saved Govelin from getting behind. 33 minutes into the game, Oka Jäger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Charly Kösters was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Oka Jäger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charly Kösters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oka Jäger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oka Jäger was the one to do the kick off. Gerald Langmaier hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Oka Jäger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charly Kösters having to interfere. Jakob Röwekamp in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Charly Kösters, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rudi Uedickoven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Oka Jäger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yildiz Hildebrand kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Oka Jäger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charly Kösters having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Govelin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jakob Röwekamp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94thth minute of the game Oka Jäger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Govelin's Charly Kösters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rudi Uedickoven came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Govelin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudi Uedickoven couldn't finish the play. David Leutheusser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurizio Reimann in the 97th minute of play. The Govelin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Schürensöhlen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
