If Hemmo Griese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Beckmann scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Bandmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Röwekamp in the 15th minute of play forced SG Elbflorenz's goalkeeper Robert Bandmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Ramsauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but David Leutheusser made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Jakob Röwekamp notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SG Elbflorenz's Robert Bandmann. Robert Bandmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute, Jakob Röwekamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Bandmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st minute Mario Ramsauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Leutheusser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SG Elbflorenz's Robert Bandmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oka Jäger in the 32nd minute of play. Robert Bandmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimar Cremer-Ricken, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Robert Bandmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimar Cremer-Ricken in the 40th minute of the match. Mario Ramsauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Leutheusser having to interfere. Hemmo Griese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Leutheusser having to interfere. The supporters of SG Elbflorenz booed when Schürensöhlen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Ihm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Oka Jäger made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Dieter Riehm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Leutheusser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Schürensöhlen's Oka Jäger got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, SG Elbflorenz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Frantzen to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Schürensöhlen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulli Wolf to maneuver through the defense. SG Elbflorenz's Robert Bandmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimar Cremer-Ricken in the 62nd minute of play. Though ot was a great shot SG Elbflorenz's keeper Robert Bandmann was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 65th minute Emilio Beckmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Bandmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SG Elbflorenz's Robert Bandmann got control of the ball when Jakob Röwekamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Leutheusser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hemmo Griese in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Beckmann got free with Robert Bandmann in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of SG Elbflorenz booed when Schürensöhlen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Ihm didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Leutheusser came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SG Elbflorenz's Mario Ramsauer. But to his dismay, Mario Ramsauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 90 minutes into the match, Schürensöhlen's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Ramsauer came free, but David Leutheusser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hemmo Griese in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Leutheusser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Schürensöhlen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
