In the 6th minute, Wilhelm Wörner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hanno Stehr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ekkehard Eisel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Wörner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Opladener bv booed when Moosbronn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Riemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilhelm Wörner struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Frank Bade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Opladener bv. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Volker Baum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opladener bv's supporters rose to their feet, but Volker Baum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Bade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilhelm Wörner was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Moosbronn's goalkeeper Frank Bade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilhelm Wörner.
