With an all-out effort, Opladener bv's Elmo Krämer threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilhelm Wörner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the match, Opladener bv's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Stanke came free, but Ekkehard Eisel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mantershagen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graham Müller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yildiray Baes's late challenge caught a Opladener bv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yildiray Baes helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Mantershagen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Yildiray Baes. Graham Müller struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ekkehard Eisel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
