The coaching staff of Elters protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Helge Böhm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Melusinental a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The referee showed Finn Kain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Elters booed when Melusinental was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn Kain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
