The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lee Hertl did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Armin Zensen 10 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lee Hertl could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Armin Zensen however easily saved by the left post. Lee Hertl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Armin Zensen made a huge save. Armin Zensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Lazarus in the 21st minute of the match. Armin Zensen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Lazarus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Fritz Rudolf Bieling notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Birgen's Armin Zensen. Armin Zensen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Birgen's Frerk Specht got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, fc-augustin's Manfred Lazarus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armin Zensen. Armin Zensen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Fritz Rudolf Bieling struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Armin Zensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc-augustin. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdelaziz Domröse to strike the kick off in the second half. Armin Zensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Lazarus, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Meikel Nordhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Lee Hertl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The fc-augustin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Lee Hertl charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lee Hertl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Lee Hertl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Birgen getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Meikel Nordhaus hit a great ball. Allan Haid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timm Abernett having to interfere. Allan Haid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Meikel Nordhaus hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. fc-augustin's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
