The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Luka Heyde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Christer Kosack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rollo Deutschmann got free with Christer Kosack in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Samuel Desoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Kosack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henglarn's Christer Kosack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Desoi in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Maximilian Sziedat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Götz Kaus. Geilnau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximilian Sziedat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Reinald Schwensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Henglarn's zone, Rollo Deutschmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christer Kosack came out of the goal and Rollo Deutschmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Desoi in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christer Kosack saved Henglarn from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Desoi to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Henglarn's goal looked a bit too open when Reinald Schwensen came free, but Christer Kosack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Henglarn getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Wolffram Riether hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Wolffram Riether hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Samuel Desoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christer Kosack. Henglarn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Desoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Rollo Deutschmann charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rollo Deutschmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Geilnau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rollo Deutschmann to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes, Maximilian Sziedat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Henglarn and the Geilnau players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Henglarn got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Sziedat. In the 88th minute, Luka Heyde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Samuel Desoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geilnau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Desoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
