After recieving a nice pass, fc-augustin's Lester Lammers tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Desoi in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timm Abernett saved fc-augustin from getting behind. Götz Kaus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Lazarus, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 23rd minute, Reinhard Dinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fritz Rudolf Bieling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Manfred Lazarus managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc-augustin's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Lazarus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Götz Kaus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Götz Kaus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Lazarus in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, fc-augustin's Manfred Lazarus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Götz Kaus. Götz Kaus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 37 minutes into the match, fc-augustin's Fritz Rudolf Bieling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Götz Kaus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Lucian Degner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc-augustin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geilnau the free kick. In the 40th minute, Lucian Degner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinald Schwensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Timm Abernett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, fc-augustin's goal looked a bit too open when Reinald Schwensen came free, but Timm Abernett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manfred Lazarus made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Manfred Lazarus made a precise shot to the right of Götz Kaus. Geilnau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Fritz Rudolf Bieling might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Götz Kaus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fritz Rudolf Bieling ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 61 minutes, Manfred Lazarus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc-augustin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfred Lazarus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reinald Schwensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, fc-augustin's Lucian Degner got a free kick in the 65th minute. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Fritz Rudolf Bieling sped through Geilnau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Götz Kaus. Götz Kaus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Lazarus in the 71st minute of play. Götz Kaus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Lazarus in the 73rd minute of the match. fc-augustin's Timm Abernett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save fc-augustin from getting a goal against them. During the 78th minute of the match Lucian Degner completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lucian Degner a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 78 played minutes fc-augustin got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Degner. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind fc-augustin's goalkeeper Timm Abernett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The fc-augustin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Geilnau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
