Backenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemens Aicher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timm Abernett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, fc-augustin's Lucian Degner got a free kick in the 25th minute. Marcel Barges was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Klemens Aicher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Timm Abernett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Barges in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to fc-augustin getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Lucian Degner hit a great ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manfred Lazarus was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Klemens Aicher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timm Abernett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Barges in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timm Abernett saved fc-augustin from getting behind. Backenberg's Klemens Aicher got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute Marcel Barges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timm Abernett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes fc-augustin got a freekick which was hit by Mario Ringels. Marcel Barges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timm Abernett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Klemens Aicher went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.
