Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eiko Köhler kicked off to start the match. Timm Schräder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Stefan Limper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Timm Schräder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eckart Epping blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Schnurrer having to make a save. Manchester City's Luis Schnurrer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. Odilo Post charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odilo Post the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Odilo Post hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Jo Ariesen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Schnurrer. Manchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jo Ariesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Eckart Epping's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Schnurrer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A long shot from Otmar Köstner in the 30th minute of play was well struck, but Luis Schnurrer made a really good save at the right post. In the 32nd minute, Eckart Epping fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 32nd play minutes Jo Ariesen shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Luis Schnurrer and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 38th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Till Friess to maneuver through the defense. Luis Schnurrer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Otmar Köstner. If Timm Schräder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eckart Epping to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Schnurrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Ariesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Limper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timm Schräder in the 64th minute. Eiko Köhler might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Limper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eiko Köhler ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Marlishausen FC's Odilo Post got a free kick in the 69th minute. Manchester City's Timm Schräder got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Manchester City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marlishausen FC:s goal. The referee gave Marlishausen FC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Otmar Köstner, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester City's Luis Schnurrer. 4-1. Domenico Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Limper having to interfere.
