Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Franz Hasselbach made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Jonathan Hofmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Franz Hasselbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, MSV Duisburg's Battista Pechkopf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rainer Stapelfeldt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MSV Duisburg's Franz Hasselbach got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Battista Pechkopf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rainer Stapelfeldt. Haimendorf FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Battista Pechkopf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fabien Venekamp kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a little luck, Haimendorf FC's Rainer Stapelfeldt got control of the ball when Battista Pechkopf tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Vincent Weidemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haimendorf FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Weidemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christoph Schardt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christoph Schardt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Weidemann in the 21st minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Vincent Weidemann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Christoph Schardt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Battista Pechkopf got free with Rainer Stapelfeldt in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Battista Pechkopf in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rainer Stapelfeldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franz Hasselbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rainer Stapelfeldt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Battista Pechkopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Battista Pechkopf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Franz Hasselbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rainer Stapelfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Franz Hasselbach came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the MSV Duisburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franz Hasselbach couldn't finish the play. Franz Hasselbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Haimendorf FC's zone, Battista Pechkopf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rainer Stapelfeldt came out of the goal and Battista Pechkopf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Battista Pechkopf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Stapelfeldt having to interfere. MSV Duisburg's Christoph Schardt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save MSV Duisburg from getting a goal against them. Battista Pechkopf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rainer Stapelfeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Hasselbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Ruprecht Erl fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haimendorf FC's protests and gave Ruprecht Erl a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Haimendorf FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruprecht Erl. Battista Pechkopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute, Battista Pechkopf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes in the game, Battista Pechkopf dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rainer Stapelfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Hasselbach in the 88th minute of play. Battista Pechkopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Franz Hasselbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rainer Stapelfeldt was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. With a little luck, MSV Duisburg's Christoph Schardt got control of the ball when Thorbjörn Bidermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. MSV Duisburg were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
