But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heinrich Link couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Daubenbornerhof's Leo Schubert got control of the ball when Thorbjörn Bidermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Daubenbornerhof's Heinrich Link in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rainer Stapelfeldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Willy Mix hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Heinrich Link got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willy Mix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rainer Stapelfeldt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Heinrich Link fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Stapelfeldt having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Daubenbornerhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinrich Krüger to maneuver through the defense. In the 32ndth minute of the game Heinrich Link who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haimendorf FC's Rainer Stapelfeldt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rainer Stapelfeldt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heinrich Link's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Daubenbornerhof's Heinrich Link got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Heinrich Link left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daubenbornerhof fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thorbjörn Bidermann kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Heinrich Link came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Daubenbornerhof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heinrich Link couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vincent Weidemann made a kick off. Fabien Venekamp hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The long shot by Valentin Boner in the 56th minute really tested Rainer Stapelfeldt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 57th match minute, Haimendorf FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruprecht Erl to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Andy Roth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daubenbornerhof fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Heinrich Link could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rainer Stapelfeldt made a huge save. The supporters of Daubenbornerhof booed when Haimendorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erhard Nimz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daubenbornerhof's Valentin Boner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rainer Stapelfeldt but with some difficulty. Haimendorf FC's Rainer Stapelfeldt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Haimendorf FC from getting a goal against them. Leo Schubert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Weidemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rainer Stapelfeldt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heinrich Link in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Daubenbornerhof's Andy Roth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rainer Stapelfeldt. That made the score 0-3 after 86 minutes of play. After 89 minutes of play, Daubenbornerhof's Heinrich Link made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rainer Stapelfeldt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rainer Stapelfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Roth in the 94th minute of play. Heinrich Link sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Daubenbornerhof left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Haimendorf FC.
