In the 13th minute, Taketaka Jung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, BVB 09..'s goal looked a bit too open when Micha-Alexander Steffen came free, but Loris Sawatzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Micha-Alexander Steffen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BVB 09..'s Loris Sawatzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save BVB 09.. from getting a goal against them. Welf Elter replaced Josip Bulfon. BVB 09..'s Gabor Kratz got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Gordon Körner managed to get in a good position for a shot. leverkusen pl's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon Körner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loris Sawatzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabor Kratz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Otto Daus made a huge save. BVB 09..'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because leverkusen pl had won, even though BVB 09.. had held more of the ball.
