Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gianluca Beyer kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Lüneburger SK booed when Dresden Głogów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esau Meisler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswald Löw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Enno Riemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Oswald Löw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lüneburger SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswald Löw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erhard Bereths kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Tim Carlhoff scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enno Riemer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Dresden Głogów's Lutz Dückert threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulrich Nothhelfer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 34th minute, Gianluca Beyer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enno Riemer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, Lüneburger SK's Lutger Hennig got a free kick in the 37th minute. Oswald Löw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Enno Riemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enno Riemer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Beyer in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Beyer in the 47th minute of play forced Dresden Głogów's goalkeeper Enno Riemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Lüneburger SK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulrich Nothhelfer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Oswald Löw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lüneburger SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswald Löw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Dresden Głogów's Enno Riemer got control of the ball when Oswald Löw tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ewald Fülberth during the 68th minute. Enno Riemer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jaro Krebitz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Oswald Löw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lüneburger SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
