The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jakob Goebel had several of the Haus Hörrig's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Torsten Hildenbrand as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of FC Hamburg booed when Haus Hörrig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thorben Bronnert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakob Goebel in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paolo Reiners stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paolo Reiners was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. Haus Hörrig's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 53rd match minute, Haus Hörrig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tino Feser to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Haus Hörrig's Tino Feser to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilhelm Küpper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Torsten Hildenbrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Goebel's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute Jakob Goebel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Hildenbrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, FC Hamburg's Domian Dinar made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torsten Hildenbrand was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Haus Hörrig's Paolo Reiners ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilhelm Küpper. Wilhelm Küpper yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Torsten Hildenbrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Goebel in the 96th minute of play.
