The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erhard Bereths lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Dresden Głogów:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jakob Goebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enno Riemer having to interfere. Freddi Wering received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enno Riemer came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddi Wering slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Dresden Głogów's Lawrence Hennrich got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jakob Goebel struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Enno Riemer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hamburg. If Jakob Goebel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugen Rieth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Hamburg's Jakob Goebel got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Domian Dinar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enno Riemer, 3-0. A hard shot 36 in the game by Jakob Goebel from a close distance when the talented Enno Riemer managed to make a qualified save. Dresden Głogów's players were relieved. Enno Riemer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakob Goebel in the 38th minute. Sven Beilstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Enno Riemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Nachtwei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jakob Goebels short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Enno Riemer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Noel Nachtwei came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Dresden Głogów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Nachtwei couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Jakob Goebel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enno Riemer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After 52nd play minutes Jakob Goebel shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Enno Riemer and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Jakob Goebel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hamburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakob Goebel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Dresden Głogów's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Goebel came free, but Enno Riemer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Noel Nachtwei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, FC Hamburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddi Wering to maneuver through the defense. Moses Rompel's late challenge caught a FC Hamburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moses Rompel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Moses Rompel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Jakob Goebel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hamburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Goebel in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enno Riemer saved Dresden Głogów from getting behind. Dresden Głogów's Enno Riemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Rieth in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Jakob Goebel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dresden Głogów's Enno Riemer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute of the game Richard Herbert made a throw-in which Moses Rompel played forward.
