Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Götz Wittkamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodrigo Pfaff. Götz Wittkamp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Julius Riehm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahce Cologne's supporters rose to their feet, but Julius Riehm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Pfaff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Folker Engelmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rodrigo Pfaff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nordrath's Emanuel Kästner got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernando Locherer hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nordrath's zone, Folker Engelmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Pfaff came out of the goal and Folker Engelmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Nordrath's Albrecht Sudhoff got a free kick in the 16th minute. Nordrath's Rodrigo Pfaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folker Engelmann in the 18th minute of play. Folker Engelmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Pfaff having to make a save. In the 38th minute, Folker Engelmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rüdiger Hofelich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ehret having to interfere. Emanuel Kästner might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Björn Ehret. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Kästner ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Fenerbahce Cologne getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hernando Locherer hit a great ball. Emanuel Kästner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ehret having to interfere. Emanuel Kästner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Björn Ehret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Kästner to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Fenerbahce Cologne's Folker Engelmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Pfaff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 59th minute, Hans Fuhl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fenerbahce Cologne's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emanuel Kästner 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. After 70 played minutes Nordrath got a freekick which was hit by Murat Trautmann. Folker Engelmann struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rodrigo Pfaff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce Cologne. Nordrath's Emanuel Kästner got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nordrath's Rodrigo Pfaff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folker Engelmann in the 85th minute of play. The Fenerbahce Cologne fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Fenerbahce Cologne's Julius Riehm looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Kästner in the 96th minute of play forced Fenerbahce Cologne's goalkeeper Björn Ehret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fenerbahce Cologne had won after a very even match.
