Fenerbahce Cologne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MİA the free kick. In the 7th minute, Michael Nachtmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Tiedgen struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Björn Ehret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MİA. In the 12thth minute of the game Jörn Weigl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahce Cologne's Björn Ehret was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Tiedgen in the 13th minute of play forced Fenerbahce Cologne's goalkeeper Björn Ehret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Björn Ehret saved Fenerbahce Cologne from getting behind. A collision led to Fenerbahce Cologne getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hernando Locherer hit a great ball. When Micha-Alexander Rauhaus came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the MİA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micha-Alexander Rauhaus couldn't finish the play. Tammo Blecken hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Folker Engelmann made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Folker Engelmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MİA's Florentin Dierking was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Micha-Alexander Rauhaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leo Tiedgen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ehret having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, MİA's goal looked a bit too open when Folker Engelmann came free, but Florentin Dierking reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MİA's Florentin Dierking played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folker Engelmann in the 64th minute of play. Folker Engelmann kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Folker Engelmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Florentin Dierking tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folker Engelmann in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florentin Dierking prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Micha-Alexander Rauhaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörn Weigl in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Björn Ehret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jörn Weigls short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Björn Ehret to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute Leo Tiedgen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Ehret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leo Tiedgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micha-Alexander Rauhaus succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 90th playminute. With his leg Björn Ehret managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when MİA's Jörn Weigl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Florentin Dierking showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folker Engelmann in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jörn Weigl managed to get in a good position for a shot. MİA's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Weigl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Ehret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over MİA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fenerbahce Cologne throughout the match.
