Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Curd Wilzek started the match with the kick off. MİA's Florentin Dierking played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curd Wilzek in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Weigl in the 5th minute of play forced Red Bull Augsburg's goalkeeper Herbert Fendt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Red Bull Augsburg defense, Leo Tiedgen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Fendt. The Red Bull Augsburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Fendt should have stopped the shot. In the 9thth minute of the game Jörn Weigl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Bull Augsburg's Herbert Fendt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Jörn Weigl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Fendt was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 11 played minutes Red Bull Augsburg got a freekick which was hit by Hermann Mierzwa. Hippolyt Pache charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hippolyt Pache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MİA getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hippolyt Pache hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Edbert Köffer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bull Augsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edbert Köffer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Curd Wilzek in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentin Dierking saved MİA from getting behind. If Jörn Weigl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentin Dierking showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curd Wilzek in the 24th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Jörn Weigl put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Herbert Fendt. Micha-Alexander Rauhaus took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Fendt. Herbert Fendt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 35 minutes of play, MİA's Jörn Weigl made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herbert Fendt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jörn Weigl scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Fendt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Leo Tiedgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

In the 51st minute, Leo Tiedgen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jörn Weigl came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the MİA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörn Weigl couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Hippolyt Pache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Red Bull Augsburg's Herbert Fendt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Augsburg from getting a goal against them. Herbert Fendt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micha-Alexander Rauhaus in the 61st minute of play. The MİA fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when MİA's Jörn Weigl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tom Nissler charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tom Nissler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, MİA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Nissler to maneuver through the defense. After 69th play minutes Jörn Weigl shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Herbert Fendt and just under the crossbar into goal. Tammo Blecken struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Herbert Fendt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MİA. The MİA fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when MİA's Jörn Weigl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, Jörn Weigl notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Red Bull Augsburg's Herbert Fendt. Herbert Fendt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörn Weigl in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Fendt saved Red Bull Augsburg from getting behind. MİA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
