Götz Rohmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Burdach, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Amadeo Burdach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Götz Rohmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannis Lutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Schlebusch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Jannis Lutz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joakim Nauert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Götz Rohmann having to make a save. Jannis Lutz had great luck who in the 37thth minute grab hold of the ball when Emil Schlebusch from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Rackenbach FSV's Jannis Lutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Rackenbach FSV from getting a goal against them. Rackenbach FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Schlebusch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 91st minute, Gianni Scherrmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute Emil Schlebusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannis Lutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Amadeo Burdach came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Rackenbach FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Burdach couldn't finish the play. Benrath walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
