Loris Ehrlich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Herpel FC's goalkeeper Gero Renner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianni Korte. After a rather tough play, Herpel FC's Arlo Kapp got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eberhard Singer charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eberhard Singer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Oberwipper FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Herpel FC:s goal. Loris Ehrlich had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabian Baltermanns's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Oberwipper FC's Gianni Korte got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Gianni Korte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oberwipper FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herpel FC the free kick. In the 31st minute, Gianni Korte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes, Herpel FC's Fabian Baltermanns shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Loris Ehrlich came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Herpel FC reached it. When Frederic Silen fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oberwipper FC's protests and gave Frederic Silen a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Oberwipper FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederic Silen. After having played for 35 minutes, Godo Kraus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herpel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godo Kraus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Baltermanns during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosmas Woyke in the 45th minute of play forced Herpel FC's goalkeeper Gero Renner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dustin Heuchel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godo Kraus was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Dustin Heuchel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gero Renner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godo Kraus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Loris Ehrlich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matti Mackensen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Oberwipper FC's Dustin Heuchel got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gero Renner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosmas Woyke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dustin Heuchel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kosmas Woyke in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gero Renner saved Herpel FC from getting behind. A collision led to Oberwipper FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gianni Korte hit a great ball. Dustin Heuchel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gero Renner having to interfere. Gero Renner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matti Mackensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a little luck, Oberwipper FC's Loris Ehrlich got control of the ball when Godo Kraus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Konrad Schmithuysen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loris Ehrlich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godo Kraus in the 90th minute. Konrad Schmithuysen's late challenge caught a Oberwipper FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konrad Schmithuysen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Herpel FC's Konrad Schmithuysen got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godo Kraus got free with Loris Ehrlich in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oberwipper FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
