Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amadeo Burdach took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rackenbach FSV's Jannis Lutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastian Sitzler in the 7th minute of play. The referee gave Rackenbach FSV a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Josef Glöden, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Helsinghausen FC's Jannik Brenner. 1-0. Jannis Lutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Damovsky's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Jannis Lutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yildiray Ernst, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Joakim Nauert fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rackenbach FSV's protests and gave Joakim Nauert a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Damovsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Damovsky made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rackenbach FSV's goalkeeper Jannis Lutz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rackenbach FSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Robert Damovsky scored to the left of an out of position Jannis Lutz, making the score, 1-1. In the 59th minute Amadeo Burdach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannik Brenner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helsinghausen FC's Bastian Sitzler got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jannis Lutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Sitzler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes, Robert Damovsky made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rackenbach FSV's Jannis Lutz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 77 minutes, Bastian Sitzler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helsinghausen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastian Sitzler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Helsinghausen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Nauert came free, but Jannik Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bastian Sitzler got free with Jannis Lutz in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bastian Sitzler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bastian Sitzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jannis Lutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Helsinghausen FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rackenbach FSV throughout the match.
