Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emil Schlebusch made the kick off which started today's match. In the 10th minute, Gianni Scherrmann fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hemmo Daus, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Tieg FC's Fritz Blumenthal got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hemmo Daus was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Gianni Scherrmann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gianni Scherrmann really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 21st minute Sirius Deuerling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Götz Rohmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Tieg FC's Sirius Deuerling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Götz Rohmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Adolf Kammer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gianni Scherrmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Emil Schlebusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hemmo Daus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sirius Deuerling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Götz Rohmann having to interfere. Hemmo Daus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Schlebusch in the 43rd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Tieg FC got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Blumenthal. Emil Schlebusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sirius Deuerling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benrath's Gianni Scherrmann got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianni Scherrmann in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hemmo Daus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Benrath booed when Tieg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Blumenthal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hemmo Daus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Schlebusch, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tieg FC's zone, Emil Schlebusch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemmo Daus came out of the goal and Emil Schlebusch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Schlebusch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Daus having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emil Schlebusch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hemmo Daus was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Gianni Scherrmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Daus having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Abdelaziz Kobitzki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hemmo Daus. Tieg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelaziz Kobitzki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 70th match minute, Benrath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Unger to maneuver through the defense. Gianni Scherrmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Daus having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Emil Schlebusch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hemmo Daus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Hemmo Daus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Schlebusch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Tieg FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilken Jürgens. After a defensive mix-up in Tieg FC's zone, Gianni Scherrmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemmo Daus came out of the goal and Gianni Scherrmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hemmo Daus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Schlebusch in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Benrath players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
