Andy Neitzel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Hemmo Daus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Tieg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Biege came free, but Hemmo Daus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tieg FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Wilken Jürgens hit a great ball. Andy Neitzel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 45th playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
