Hellermoor's Klara Gmelin got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klara Gmelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfried Goldberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klara Gmelin's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Hellermoor's Lev Schmedemann got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Markus Scheller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hellermoor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Scheller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Werner Wiehn hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Balko Hoppen, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 33rd minute Markus Scheller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfried Goldberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Markus Scheller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Scheller in the 41st minute of play forced FC Trani's goalkeeper Wilfried Goldberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klara Gmelin to make the kick off. Wilfried Goldberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klara Gmelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrius Kammerer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Noth in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Klara Gmelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfried Goldberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Alt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 minutes, Wilhelm Noth made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hellermoor's Demetrius Kammerer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute, Balko Hoppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfried Goldberg made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Reinhart Scheppach sent off a good shot on target. If Wilhelm Noth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfried Goldberg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Despite being the better team, Hellermoor failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
