In the 8th minute Dan Schmermbeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Jost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Sempert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Schellheimer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralf Pronold got free with Matthias Schellheimer in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, FC Garching München's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Sempert came free, but Matthias Schellheimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Garching München's goalkeeper Matthias Schellheimer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walter Sempert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Ralf Pronold had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthias Schellheimer. FC Garching München's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralf Pronold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Garching München's zone, Ralf Pronold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Schellheimer came out of the goal and Ralf Pronold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Garching München's Karl Arndt got a free kick in the 70th minute. Walter Sempert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morgan Jost didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. If Dan Schmermbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Simon Jagnow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in FSV Laagberg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 99 minutes, FC Garching München's Karl Arndt got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Morgan Jost. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
