Fortuna Ballendorf's Jörg Haller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Jagnow in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Fortuna Ballendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Jagnow came free, but Jörg Haller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Garching München's Gülsün Felgenhauer got a free kick in the 26th minute. Matthias Schellheimer stood somewhat misplaced when Philipp Fuchtel came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 28 minute. In the 41st minute, Fabio Popitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fortuna Ballendorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After a rather tough play, FC Garching München's Jo Wagenblast got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philipp Fuchtel to make the kick off. Christof Overkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Matthias Schellheimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Akira Hennrich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna Ballendorf and the FC Garching München players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pio Henzler charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pio Henzler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
