Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mehmet Kuhn started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Kuhn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Hugo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After 5 played minutes Arnsberg got a freekick which was hit by Henrike Grabowski. In the 7th minute, Erdal Neuwinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Arnsberg's Marco Hugo got control of the ball when Ephraim Haak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Ansgar Aydin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jochen Hornung skillfully saved the ball. After 16 played minutes Arnsberg got a freekick which was hit by Henrike Grabowski. In the 17th minute of the match Emanuel Pohlplatz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Hugo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olaf Zebrowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jochen Hornung having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Meuselwitz's goal looked a bit too open when Toralf Herzke came free, but Jochen Hornung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meuselwitz's Mehmet Kuhn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnsberg's Olaf Zebrowski got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehmet Kuhn struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marco Hugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meuselwitz. After a defensive mix-up in Arnsberg's zone, Ephraim Haak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Hugo came out of the goal and Ephraim Haak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Olaf Zebrowski made the kick off in the second half. Olaf Zebrowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jochen Hornung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Zebrowski in the 54th minute of play forced Meuselwitz's goalkeeper Jochen Hornung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Olaf Zebrowski lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Jochen Hornung. A hard shot 92 in the game by Toralf Herzke from a close distance when the talented Jochen Hornung managed to make a qualified save. Meuselwitz's players were relieved. If Mehmet Kuhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Meuselwitz booed when Arnsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrike Grabowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Meuselwitz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arnsberg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
