Spectators: 5575 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 75) Holger Fritsch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Hugo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eberhard Kaack got free with Marco Hugo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Arnsberg's zone, Holger Fritsch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Hugo came out of the goal and Holger Fritsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Geraer Füchse e.V.97 defense, Toralf Herzke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Garden. The Geraer Füchse e.V.97 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Garden should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, Eberhard Kaack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geraer Füchse e.V.97's Holger Fritsch got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Garden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Zebrowski in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Clint Hilger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ansgar Aydin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arne Garden. Geraer Füchse e.V.97's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arnsberg's Henrike Grabowski suffered a sore thigh after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 33rd minute, Noah von Hofe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35th play minutes Toralf Herzke shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Arne Garden and just under the crossbar into goal. Geraer Füchse e.V.97's Eberhard Kaack got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Toralf Herzke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arne Garden was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Holger Fritsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Hugo having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Arne Garden managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Arnsberg's Toralf Herzke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Arnsberg booed when Geraer Füchse e.V.97 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sevim Guggemoos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnsberg's Toralf Herzke got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klaas Göppel struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Arne Garden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arnsberg. Toralf Herzke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Arnsberg's Toralf Herzke in 63 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Arne Garden guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 75th minute, Olaf Zebrowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Geraer Füchse e.V.97's Gottlieb Brendel got a free kick in the 76th minute. Toralf Herzke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Klaas Göppel sped through Geraer Füchse e.V.97's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arne Garden. In the 83rd minute, Olaf Zebrowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Garden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Toralf Herzke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Arne Garden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 91 minutes, Eberhard Kaack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geraer Füchse e.V.97's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eberhard Kaack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th play minute Toralf Herzke came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arne Garden. 0-5. Arnsberg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
