Spike Gruteser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurence Gotthelf's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Spike Gruteser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Gotthelf in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Elsner in the 22nd minute of play forced Gaugrehweiler's goalkeeper Jan Riedel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gaugrehweiler's Laurence Gotthelf got a free kick in the 36th minute. Spike Gruteser came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaugrehweiler's Laurence Gotthelf. But to his dismay, Laurence Gotthelf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sven Täger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaugrehweiler's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Täger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spike Gruteser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurence Gotthelf made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Tim Elsenbusch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arnum Strikers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaugrehweiler the free kick. A collision led to Arnum Strikers getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tim Elsenbusch hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Gaugrehweiler's Johannes Kienast tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arnum Strikers's Spike Gruteser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Arnum Strikers from getting a goal against them. Spike Gruteser had great luck who in the 62ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Laurence Gotthelf from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience was convinced that Laurence Gotthelf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spike Gruteser was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Laurence Gotthelf put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Spike Gruteser. Spike Gruteser didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Erdal Sondermeyer's late challenge caught a Arnum Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erdal Sondermeyer helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Arnum Strikers a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Martin Koalik, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gaugrehweiler's Jan Riedel. 1-4. 87 minutes into the match, Arnum Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Gotthelf came free, but Spike Gruteser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spike Gruteser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Gotthelf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gaugrehweiler's zone, Bendix Stube stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Riedel came out of the goal and Bendix Stube tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 98 minutes into the match, Gaugrehweiler's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Elsner came free, but Jan Riedel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Gaugrehweiler left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arnum Strikers.
