Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Norbert Dorn made the kick off and thus started the match. Jeff Westerwelle made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Bonito Wilke sent off a good shot on target. After 5 played minutes Elberfelder FC got a freekick which was hit by Paul Götze. In the 10th minute, Norbert Dorn made a precise shot to the right of Heinrich Leonhardt. Imsbach FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dennis Pangerl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heinrich Leonhardt having to make a save. Bonito Wilke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jeff Westerwelle made a huge save. A collision led to Imsbach FSV getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Karsten Ekenberg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Pangerl in the 30th minute of play forced Imsbach FSV's goalkeeper Heinrich Leonhardt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Imsbach FSV getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Hernan Kreller hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Achim Breche shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heinrich Leonhardt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Heinrich Leonhardt came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Elberfelder FC's Dennis Pangerl. But to his dismay, Dennis Pangerl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Heinrich Leonhardt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Pangerl in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute of the game, Elard Krumbe landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 45 minutes into the game, Hernan Kreller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imsbach FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elberfelder FC the free kick. Hernan Kreller hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonito Wilke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Dennis Pangerl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Imsbach FSV's Heinrich Leonhardt got control of the ball when Dennis Pangerl tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pascal Gebuhr fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imsbach FSV's protests and gave Pascal Gebuhr a yellow card for diving instead. Pascal Gebuhr kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Heinrich Leonhardt came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Elberfelder FC's Dennis Pangerl. But to his dismay, Dennis Pangerl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jeff Westerwelle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerold Kessler, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Dennis Pangerl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrich Leonhardt having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the game Hippolyt Weites made a throw-in which Norbert Dorn played forward. Jeff Westerwelle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonito Wilke in the 91st minute of play. Elberfelder FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
