When Zlatan Knebel came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Tayphoon Köln fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zlatan Knebel couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, FC Tayphoon Köln's Dustin Toll sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Spike Gruteser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Spike Gruteser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pete Jager's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 47 minutes, Ole Naab mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Tayphoon Köln and the Arnum Strikers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes FC Tayphoon Köln got a freekick which was hit by Ole Naab. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zlatan Knebel made a kick off. If Richard Kalouti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Jim Hein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 76th match minute, Arnum Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenobio Wölfer to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Axel Elsner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Arnum Strikers's Jim Hein threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Axel Elsner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Axel Elsner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Tayphoon Köln were furious when Lars Scheck was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Tayphoon Köln! Bendix Stube succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 99th playminute.
