Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cees Ernemann took the kick off in the first half of the match. Peter Goetz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Simon Peitsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, viktorie griesheim's Ambrosius Garbe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Peitsch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes in the game, Ambrosius Garbe fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Simon Peitsch having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ambrosius Garbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. viktorie griesheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosius Garbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Peitsch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Cees Ernemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Andrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hilbert Raubach came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Harvard University fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilbert Raubach couldn't finish the play. Filippo Andrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cees Ernemann in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ambrosius Garbe in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Peitsch saved Harvard University from getting behind. After 26 minutes, Timo Meidel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the viktorie griesheim and the Harvard University players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Harvard University booed when viktorie griesheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Meidel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harvard University's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Ambrosius Garbe scored to the left of an out of position Simon Peitsch, making the score, 1-0. Harvard University's Simon Peitsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosius Garbe in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Timo Meidel suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Arne Schrader's late challenge caught a viktorie griesheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Schrader helped the player get up and apologised. Arne Schrader hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Peter Goetz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Simon Peitsch made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambrosius Garbe in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Peitsch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Harvard University getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Arne Gerke hit a great ball. Peter Goetz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Simon Peitsch made a huge save. Peter Goetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Peitsch having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Goetz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Yves Waldner tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Andrak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, viktorie griesheim's Otto Fabian got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Gerald Borchmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Peitsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Fabian in the 56th minute of the match. If Peter Goetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Goetz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Harvard University's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosius Garbe came free, but Simon Peitsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. viktorie griesheim's Ambrosius Garbe got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes, viktorie griesheim's Robert Komp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon Peitsch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in viktorie griesheim reached it. The supporters of viktorie griesheim booed when Harvard University was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Schrader didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Velten Juschten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. viktorie griesheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Velten Juschten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Peitsch came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by viktorie griesheim's Peter Goetz. But to his dismay, Peter Goetz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, viktorie griesheim's Otto Fabian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Peitsch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peter Goetz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Peitsch having to make a save. Bastien Heidingsfelder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Goetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Peitsch having to interfere. Simon Peitsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Goetz in the 96th minute of play.
