After 3 played minutes FC Appeldorf got a freekick which was hit by Fabien Achmüller. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Seer in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nino Kozole saved FC Appeldorf from getting behind. Gruberhagen's Tihomir Benada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Gruberhagen from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute of the match FC Appeldorf got a corner. Gruberhagen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lars Christann ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Lars Reif to score against Tihomir Benada in Gruberhagen's goal. 1-0 after 13 minutes. Nino Kozole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Seer's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Jakob Caesar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gruberhagen's goalkeeper Tihomir Benada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Appeldorf booed when Gruberhagen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Brominski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakob Caesar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tihomir Benada came out and tried to block the shot, but Jakob Caesar slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 31st minute. When Jakob Caesar came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the FC Appeldorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Caesar couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Seer in the 45th minute of play forced FC Appeldorf's goalkeeper Nino Kozole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tilmann Herzke to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Einar Seisler during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Einar Seisler hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nino Kozole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Seer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gruberhagen booed when FC Appeldorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einar Seisler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tilmann Herzke in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nino Kozole, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The nice shot from Tilmann Herzke in the 68thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Nino Kozole had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When Tim Toupheksis fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Appeldorf's protests and gave Tim Toupheksis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gruberhagen booed when FC Appeldorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Toupheksis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tilmann Herzkes short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Nino Kozole to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Einar Seisler hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tilmann Herzke got free with Nino Kozole in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fortunato Seer in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nino Kozole prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gruberhagen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
