Abdelaziz Bankmann hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The supporters of Schachthalden booed when Renneperstraße was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelaziz Bankmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Renneperstraße's Abdelaziz Bankmann got a free kick in the 12th minute. Nils Steininger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achaz Vieweg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siegfried Hildebrandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Benny Baus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baldur Hiemann, passed just outside the right post. In the 20th minute, Pär Noffz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Schachthalden's Baldur Hiemann didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Schachthalden's Baldur Hiemann got control of the ball when Benny Baus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baldur Hiemann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marko Descharmes's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Matti Bieling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schachthalden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renneperstraße the free kick. After 27 played minutes Schachthalden got a freekick which was hit by Matti Bieling. Marko Descharmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldur Hiemann having to interfere. When Siegfried Hildebrandt came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Schachthalden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siegfried Hildebrandt couldn't finish the play. Benny Baus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldur Hiemann having to interfere. A collision led to Renneperstraße getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Pär Noffz hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Rudi Steinberg fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renneperstraße's protests and gave Rudi Steinberg a yellow card for diving instead. Rudi Steinberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Benny Baus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schachthalden's Baldur Hiemann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Benny Baus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Matti Bieling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schachthalden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matti Bieling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Achaz Vieweg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Steininger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marko Descharmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achaz Vieweg was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Nils Steininger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nils Steininger really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The Schachthalden players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
