When Lars Reif came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the FC Appeldorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Reif couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Schachthalden's Frederico Kuinke got a free kick in the 6th minute. FC Appeldorf's Jakob Caesar got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Reif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Baldur Hiemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Schachthalden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matti Bieling to maneuver through the defense. Jakob Caesar struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Baldur Hiemann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Appeldorf. Baldur Hiemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Caesar in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Caesar in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldur Hiemann saved Schachthalden from getting behind. Baldur Hiemann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Caesar's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Lars Reif who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schachthalden's Baldur Hiemann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Siegfried Hildebrandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nino Kozole having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Schachthalden's Oleg Kläser got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jakob Caesar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes in the game, Jakob Caesar dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Siegfried Hildebrandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nino Kozole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Appeldorf's zone, Siegfried Hildebrandt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nino Kozole came out of the goal and Siegfried Hildebrandt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Nils Steininger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Siegfried Hildebrandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Reif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldur Hiemann having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Steininger to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Jakob Caesar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldur Hiemann. That made the score 0-1 in the 53 minute of play. After 64 played minutes FC Appeldorf got a freekick which was hit by Fabien Achmüller. 65 minutes into the match, FC Appeldorf's goal looked a bit too open when Siegmund Ziebig came free, but Nino Kozole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Reif came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Baldur Hiemann could save by the left post. The goalkeeper, Baldur Hiemann, was totally fooled by FC Appeldorf's Lars Christann, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Baldur Hiemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Caesar in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Caesar in the 82nd minute of play forced Schachthalden's goalkeeper Baldur Hiemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Schachthalden's Baldur Hiemann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Schachthalden from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oleg Kläser during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
