Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Heilbronn's Walt Peleikis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gruberhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Thilo Emden came free, but Tihomir Benada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Neidlein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Seer in the 4th minute of play. Tilmann Herzke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Zöllmer in the 10th minute of play forced Gruberhagen's goalkeeper Tihomir Benada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Zöllmer took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tihomir Benada. Tihomir Benada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Fortunato Seer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Neidlein was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Piero Slave hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tihomir Benada came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Heilbronn's Walt Peleikis. But to his dismay, Walt Peleikis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Heilbronn's zone, Fortunato Seer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Neidlein came out of the goal and Fortunato Seer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walt Peleikis in the 21st minute of play forced Gruberhagen's goalkeeper Tihomir Benada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gruberhagen's Tihomir Benada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walt Peleikis in the 22nd minute of play. If Tilmann Herzke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Tilmann Herzke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Robert Neidlein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Seer in the 33rd minute of play forced Heilbronn's goalkeeper Robert Neidlein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walt Peleikis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 42nd match minute, Heilbronn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thilo Emden to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tilmann Herzke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Neidlein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tilmann Herzke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Heilbronn's Jonas Kreiser seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonas Kreiser the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Heilbronn protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonas Kreiser had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 57 minutes into the game, one of Heilbronn:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fortunato Seer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Neidlein having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match Fortunato Seer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robert Neidlein showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th minute, Tilmann Herzke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Tilmann Herzke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Robert Neidlein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Heilbronn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Fortunato Seer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Björn Zöllmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Fortunato Seer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heilbronn's Robert Neidlein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tihomir Benada made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Björn Zöllmer sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes Heilbronn got a freekick which was hit by Harald Neumann. 87 minutes into the match, Heilbronn's goal looked a bit too open when Tilmann Herzke came free, but Robert Neidlein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tilmann Herzke took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Neidlein. Robert Neidlein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. 95 minutes into the match, Björn Zöllmer notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Gruberhagen's Tihomir Benada. Tihomir Benada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robert Neidlein came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Gruberhagen's Tilmann Herzke. But to his dismay, Tilmann Herzke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gruberhagen had played much better football throughout.
