The Heilbronn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Neidlein should have stopped the shot. Thilo Emden charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thilo Emden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Heilbronn getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Thilo Emden hit a great ball. When Björn Zöllmer came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Heilbronn fans jumped to their feet. Robert Neidlein didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gruberhagen's Fortunato Seer shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee gave Gruberhagen a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fortunato Seer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Heilbronn's Robert Neidlein. 0-4. Thanks to some nice moves Björn Zöllmer could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Tihomir Benada however easily saved by the left post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walt Peleikis was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Kreiser hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Fortunato Seer from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Robert Neidlein's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tilmann Herzke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Robert Neidlein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Heilbronn's Robert Neidlein got control of the ball when Tilmann Herzke tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fortunato Seer managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Neidlein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tihomir Benada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walt Peleikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Gruberhagen's Fortunato Seer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Neidlein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Seer in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Neidlein saved Heilbronn from getting behind. Walt Peleikis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Gruberhagen's corner Fortunato Seer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robert Neidlein quite easily take care of the ball.
