Spectators: 5200 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 0) La Lakers's Florian Biehle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save La Lakers from getting a goal against them. Björn Zöllmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Biehle having to interfere. Robert Neidlein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Siberichs's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, La Lakers's Wolfgang Knops seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wolfgang Knops the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of La Lakers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wolfgang Knops had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 22nd minute, one of La Lakers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Lakers. After a defensive mix-up in Heilbronn's zone, Jostein Kleber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Neidlein came out of the goal and Jostein Kleber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Heilbronn's Walt Peleikis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florian Biehle. Florian Biehle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Florian Biehle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walt Peleikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Heilbronn booed when La Lakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Siberichs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josip Scholtz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Florian Biehle right hand side. In the 45th minute Jostein Kleber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Neidlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Zöllmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Florian Biehle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walt Peleikis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Walt Peleikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Björn Zöllmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Biehle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Walt Peleikis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florian Biehle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Jostein Kleber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Neidlein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Kreiser during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for La Lakers. Rik Bartels stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Robert Neidlein. 4-2. When the referee ended the match the Heilbronn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
