When Bonner SC's Toni Hummel, in the 16th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bonner SC. Langenbaum's Owen Witlatschil got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Owen Witlatschil notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bonner SC's Heiko Schemel. Heiko Schemel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Helmut Raab in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilhelm Rehbach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Jürgen Povel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Höcketstaller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Langenbaum's Wilhelm Rehbach got control of the ball when Toni Hummel tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Wilhelm Rehbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmut Raab in the 56th minute of play. When Guy Grein fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Langenbaum's protests and gave Guy Grein a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Langenbaum's Guy Grein got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute Toni Hummel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Rehbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Langenbaum's zone, Helmut Raab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilhelm Rehbach came out of the goal and Helmut Raab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Owen Witlatschil came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Langenbaum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Witlatschil couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Owen Witlatschil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Heiko Schemel. That made the score 2-3 in the 71 minute of play. If Toni Hummel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Hummel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilhelm Rehbach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Bonner SC booed when Langenbaum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Grein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonner SC's Adi Naab couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Langenbaum. Heiko Schemel made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Daniel Höcketstaller sent off a good shot on target. Owen Witlatschil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bonner SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Langenbaum's performance. The match ended with a win for Langenbaum.
