After 5 played minutes Lomersheim got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Andres. Victor Dürr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lomersheim's Max Babic got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute Michael Dierkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clint Weichelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clint Weichelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Dierkes in the 12th minute of play. Michael Dierkes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clint Weichelt having to interfere. Victor Dürr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Dierkes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Clint Weichelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, TSV18sechzig's Hartwig Nouripour got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dierkes in the 25th minute of play forced TSV18sechzig's goalkeeper Clint Weichelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, one of TSV18sechzig:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TSV18sechzig. 30 minutes into the game, Hennes Wollberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lomersheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TSV18sechzig the free kick. If Max Babic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lomersheim's Michael Dierkes in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TSV18sechzig's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hugo Stadelmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Burgschmidt having to interfere. Victor Dürr struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Sven Burgschmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV18sechzig. In the 69th minute, Max Babic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clint Weichelt made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Michael Dierkes sent off a good shot on target. When Lomersheim's Max Babic in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TSV18sechzig's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute, Moritz Bushuven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes TSV18sechzig got a freekick which was hit by Hartwig Nouripour. Clint Weichelt was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Werner Tinz. Clint Weichelt was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Max Babic capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Max Babic really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Max Babic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clint Weichelt was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Michael Dierkes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clint Weichelt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Lomersheim supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lomersheim would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
