The supporters of ssv bergneustadt 08 booed when Bonner SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel El Uriagli didn't get a good kick on the ball. ssv bergneustadt 08's Tilmann Schlender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helmut Raab in the 19th minute of play. Bonner SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Hartwig Biermann scored to the left of an out of position Heiko Schemel, making the score, 1-0. If Helmut Raab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hartwig Biermann took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiko Schemel. Heiko Schemel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 33rd match minute, ssv bergneustadt 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Grentz to maneuver through the defense. Adi Naab, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Boris Grentz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ssv bergneustadt 08's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bonner SC the free kick. Boris Grentz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tilmann Schlender didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Helmut Raab went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. ssv bergneustadt 08's Tilmann Schlender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helmut Raab in the 45th minute of play. After 45 played minutes ssv bergneustadt 08 got a freekick which was hit by Jürg Ehrenberg. After having played for 48 minutes, Toni Hummel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bonner SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Hummel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Helmut Raab came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Bonner SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmut Raab couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in ssv bergneustadt 08's zone, Helmut Raab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tilmann Schlender came out of the goal and Helmut Raab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, ssv bergneustadt 08's goal looked a bit too open when Helmut Raab came free, but Tilmann Schlender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toni Hummel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helmut Raab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tilmann Schlender having to interfere. In the 71st minute Helmut Raab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilmann Schlender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tilmann Schlender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmut Raab, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 79th minute Helmut Raab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilmann Schlender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Boris Grentz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ssv bergneustadt 08's Tilmann Schlender proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save ssv bergneustadt 08 from getting a goal against them. After recieving a nice pass, Bonner SC's Adi Naab tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 89 minutes, Gottlieb Güven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ssv bergneustadt 08's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottlieb Güven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When ssv bergneustadt 08's Hartwig Biermann in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bonner SC's goalie prevented a goal. ssv bergneustadt 08's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
