Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wolfgang Reich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerigo Hilligloh having to interfere. Raimund Huber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amerigo Hilligloh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wolfgang Reich in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amerigo Hilligloh saved FC HEP from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, Dörenhagen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Körper to maneuver through the defense. Bartholomäus Grüning didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfried Langensiepen went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Carl Eggenfeld came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amerigo Hilligloh could save by the left post. Dörenhagen FSV's Bartholomäus Grüning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Langensiepen in the 15th minute of play. Danko Niederhellmann's late challenge caught a Dörenhagen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danko Niederhellmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dörenhagen FSV booed when FC HEP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danko Niederhellmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Werner Simbeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amerigo Hilligloh skillfully saved the ball. Wilfried Langensiepen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartholomäus Grüning having to make a save. With a little luck, FC HEP's Amerigo Hilligloh got control of the ball when Ahmet Lingnau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartholomäus Grüning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfried Langensiepen in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Simon Körper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dörenhagen FSV and the FC HEP players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dörenhagen FSV getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Simon Körper hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, one of Dörenhagen FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bartholomäus Grüning had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Jonas Ehinger's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dörenhagen FSV's zone, José Cezanne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartholomäus Grüning came out of the goal and José Cezanne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Lingnau charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Lingnau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dörenhagen FSV's Ahmet Lingnau got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Wolfgang Reich made the kick off in the second half. José Cezanne struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bartholomäus Grüning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC HEP. When Ahmet Lingnau came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Dörenhagen FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Lingnau couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dörenhagen FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Jonas Ehinger placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ahmet Lingnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danko Niederhellmann kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, one of FC HEP:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC HEP. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Dörenhagen FSV. Werner Simbeck stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amerigo Hilligloh. 1-1. Wolfgang Reich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dörenhagen FSV's Wolfgang Reich managed to work through FC HEP's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wolfgang Reich dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Amerigo Hilligloh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolfgang Reich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, José Cezanne managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC HEP's supporters rose to their feet, but José Cezanne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartholomäus Grüning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 100th minute, José Cezanne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartholomäus Grüning was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The FC HEP supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC HEP would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
