When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Antoine Reisinger took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Reiko Klein to make any attempt to save it. 25 minutes into the match, Vehrensande's goal looked a bit too open when Heiner Boddenberg came free, but Niko Fekecs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vehrensande's Ryan Obermeier got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Heiner Boddenberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niko Fekecs. Vehrensande's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heiner Boddenberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Guido Thul hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Cicero Ertl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Reiko Klein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lichtenborn getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jochen Janing hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antoine Reisinger to make the kick off. If Cicero Ertl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niko Fekecs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiner Boddenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vehrensande's Ryan Obermeier got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Ibo Braun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes in the game Antoine Reisinger did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cicero Ertl. 64 minutes into the match, Gregor Schnelle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reiko Klein. Lichtenborn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregor Schnelle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 68 minutes into the match, Vehrensande's goalkeeper Niko Fekecs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heiner Boddenberg. 70 minutes into the match, Lichtenborn's goal looked a bit too open when Cicero Ertl came free, but Reiko Klein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lichtenborn's Heiner Boddenberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niko Fekecs. That made the score 2-5 after 73 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute, Lichtenborn's Heiner Boddenberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niko Fekecs. Niko Fekecs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. After some careless play in the Vehrensande defense, Heiner Boddenberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niko Fekecs. The Vehrensande fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niko Fekecs should have stopped the shot. Vehrensande's Niko Fekecs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Vehrensande from getting a goal against them. Vehrensande's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Heiner Boddenberg scored to the left of an out of position Niko Fekecs, making the score, 2-8. Lichtenborn's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
